A young family living in a pre-war Upper West Side apartment sought to upgrade various parts of their three-bedroom home including the kitchen and adjoining bedroom and bathroom. In response, GPIDC opened the kitchen to a newly created Dining and Family room and carved a small bedroom-office and bathroom from the original space. We used a bright palette, with white cabinets and classic subway tile that lend the space a feeling of open airiness. Western light and views of the Hudson River flood the new kitchen and Dining room. |
