This charming Cape Cod style home, built in the 1930’s on ocean front property, was relocated and renovated as a family summer retreat. Now, five years later, the owners realized they required additional space and retained GPIDC to expand the core of the home and add a second floor in order to accommodate a Dining Room, expanded Living Room, and front hall on the first floor, as well as a new master suite, additional bedrooms, and a deck overlooking the ocean on the second. The challenge was to reconcile complicated roof lines and height restrictions, while maintaining the existing "old Vineyard" architecture and interior charm. |
